Are Theese Good Laptop Models And Specs For The Prices? Which One Is Best For Me?

September 29th, 2009

Which one is better priced as far as performance, build & support? For some reason I kinda want the HP because we’ve always had HP and all of ‘em work great! I like the looks of the HP and it has better speakers and It’s probably more durable, or it seemed when I compared them at the store.
I want it for a couple games like the sims 3 and basic internet use.

  1. Ammuniti says:

    Here’s a simple comparison:
    HP
    -Good, reliable brand
    -Better Video card
    -Larger screen
    -Larger battery
    -Better wireless card
    -320GB hard drive
    Dell
    -crappy brand
    -smaller screen
    -worse video card
    -worse wireless card
    -smaller battery
    -500GB hard drive
Overall, the HP is better, but you can likely find an HP with the same screen size as the Dell and the rest of the HP specs the same for under $1000. The Dell might have a larger hard drive, but unless you have a ton of movies you are going to rip to the hard drive or a bunch of games, the extra space isn’t necessary.

you probably wouldn’t even notice the difference between the two because they are so closely matched. i would have the HP because it has the better graphics card and dell’s seem a bit cheap feeling to me.

  3. mariahm5 says:

I would have to say the DELL xps M1530,
    One-Because it’s cheaper.
Two-Because it seems to have more space, and be alot better for use.

I use the HP it is a very good computer it is worth the extra 100 dollars.
