    I can’t say for those devices specifically, but manufacturers generally recommend to fully charge and discharge batteries (even newer lithium ion technology) but to avoid deep discharge.

    Lithium Ion Batteries do not require draining for best performance. In fact, you are best to leave about 10% in the battery for longest lifespan. But it really doesn’t make much difference.
    For your laptop, if that model has a “charge remaining” indicator, this can become inaccurate over time if the battery is not drained completely and recharged fully. This is an error in reporting as opposed to actual battery life or performance.

    Take care of your battery – Exercise the Battery. Do not leave a charged battery dormant for long periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let a Li-On battery completely discharge. (Discharging is only for older batteries with memory effects)
