Hi!
My HP Pavilion just died out on me and lasted about 2.5 years. I wanted to know which laptop is convinient for me?
I will list most of the things I look in a laptop and my problems:
I used my laptop often.
I do not add software or anything of big size.
I use it mainly to surf the net, listening to music, and write my essays and do homework.
I want it to have a webcam, possibly a microphone (that last one can be excluded).
I’ve never operated Windows Vista, so if it has XP, that’s fine.
I need something reliable for 600 or under 600 dollars (I know it’s not much but I cannot spend anymore…)
Weight-wise, as light as I can get it with that price.
Reasonably long battery life.
Based on these preferences, what is realistically the best laptop for me? I’ve also considered mini laptops…but are they too uncomforable or bad on the eye?
THANK YOU!

You are getting one at the perfect time.Circuit city and Best Buy will offer them on the day after thanksgiving sale.
Last yr we got a sony vaio for 400 bucks..it retailed at 900 online…they offered another one for 500 but only carried 10 of it.?hubby was like number 11 in line..Look in the wednsaday before thanksgivings paper…last yr they also ran a cheap toshiba one for 229…it came with a free printer/copier scanner…cannon one..
The trick is …you need to start off christmas day at around 12..and take sleeping bag and tent and camp out outside best buy have family bring you dinner..thats what my hubby does to get the best sales..he takes our daughter..
I am sure this year there wil be even better offers..
All of them are running on Vista now they have compleltely quit selling xp…sorry!they released announcement the other day the new version is being worked on and due out …
ps you tend to get tons of people standing inline trying to sell them for more or trying to buy them to sell them on ebay….
Get the dell inspiron 1450 with windows vista.
Buying a laptop is a complicated decision which will affect you every day for the next few years.
In addition to price and specs, you want to consider things such as ease-of-use, speed, reliability, stylish-design and tech-support.
Different people would have different opinions.
Therefore, I would recommend you to check ProCompare.com. They have a recommendation engine that ranks laptops (and other tech products) based on ratings and reviews from a community of trusted IT professionals. They also have a cool personalization slider that lets you personalize the results based on the criteria that are most important to YOU.
