I have a HP Pavilion dv1000 and my battery’s dead right now like 100% dead, will no longer charge cos I need a new one so is it okay to run my laptop on AC Power until I can get a new battery?

My battery has been dead for a year so i can asure you running off AC power is fine.
As a matter of fact you should run it off AC power as often as possible – removing the battery whenever it is not needed as the main source of power. When a laptop is plugged in and the battery is present, it will constantly be charging and discharging the battery and this kills batteries!
Yes, it’s absolutely fine to run your laptop on AC power
I run my laptop on AC power most of the time. So i cant see why you would have an issue.
