Let me explain:
I have a HP Entertainment Pavillion PC Laptop, also known as the one with the swirls, or HP Pavilion dv6000. The battery is fried, so I kept the wire in all the time or else it would just shut off. Well for the past 2 days, the battery wire has to be HELD into the socket on the computer for it to stay on.
I’m buying a new battery on eBay, but is the battery the problem or the wire? Should i buy a new battery?
My Laptop Is Nuts! Helllp!?

Sorry to say this, but you MIGHT just have to buy both. I would recommend buying a wire first because they are cheaper, and see if it helps, but if not get a new battery (make sure it’s the right one and not a different size or something).
Sounds like there is a problem with the charger port. If it’s an older computer that’s outta warranty i would think about spending money on it. Buy the time you have the port repaired and sometimes they require a new motherboard and buy a new battery you could almost buy a new computer.
