I plan on majoring in Business (not for sure yet) but I dont know what laptop to get. I’m thinking either a Mac, Sony (battery and fan probs?), or an HP pavilion. What would be my best option? Macs don’t seem to be supported in the business world, but apparently I can run windows on it (?) and Sony seems to have many hardware problems. And I dont know a lot about the HP. Please help!
thanks

In my opinion get the 13″ MacBook Pro or the 15″ MacBook Pro its great. It has a long lasting battery, Macs hardly crash if ever, and you don’t need to worry about Malware, Viruses, etc. Also you can run Windows on it using Boot Camp or a system emulator. Such as VM Ware Fusion, Parallels, etc. I have a couple of PC’s and 3 Macs. iMac 24″, 15″ MacBook Pro Unibody Version, and a 15″ MacBook Pro before 2008. By the way Macs are on Sale now if your a college student you get a discount and if you purchase one now you get a FREE iPod Touch along with it. So its a great time to buy a Mac.
Sony and HP branded laptops are good and the has the best performance for me. For me, Mac laptops are hard to operate and it makes handling or organizing files more complicated. Choose laptops that have Windows operating systems installed in it. Choose gaming laptops also because it has more better performance, more storage capacity, and it can handle all your files no matter how many and how big are the file sizes are on your files, gaming laptops are better for me than the other business laptops because business laptops are more expensive than gaming laptops and gaming laptops are more cheaper and has more advantages, more efficient, and more better than business laptops…
Hope I’ve Helped… ^_^
The MACs which were launched with Windows support gets crash down very soon so I won’t recommend you going for it.
Secondly yes Hp is a good choice I think you should go for Hp laptops they are really good and great in durability and in battery life back up.
Thirdly apart from this would like to suggest you that you should go for Refurbished laptops which will be really beneficial for your business studies and all as first rule of business is ” Spend less get more Profit” that’s what today’s owner’s of business needs from you.
So go for this refurbished laptops and also providing you two great deals for two great laptops

I am in college and I have a aluminum macbook. It works fine with blackboard. It is a lot easier to take care of knowing it can’t get viruses. Especially on a college campus where people are always file sharing and collaborating on projects and such. I love my macbook, and on average, they last twice as long as Windows notebooks. There are actually a lot of mac users on campus. You can dual boot windows. Its pretty easy, although you have to buy the windows install disks.
I have always had HP laptops, desktops i build myself. But i love HP for laptops, i never have a problem with HP parts, there models have been very well tested.
You can run windows on MAC if you have an intel CPU inside of it. But you also need to know how to install windows on it, im not sure you can have them do this for you.
Also, people will tell you how MAC is great because they hardly crash, and they don’t get viruses. The truth is, MAC has its problems to.. its all about preference. Spend some time on the MAC OS and you will run into your fair share of inconveniences and problems. Also from the Virus point of view, it is believed there will be virus problems on MAC in the near future. It may have been true at one time that MAC can’t get a virus, but possibly not anymore.
I suggest you stay with a PC for business purposes, more programs are made for Windows and Linux in the business world, not as many for MAC.
I suggest you go with a PC that fits your needs, look though a few companies, such as gateway, HP, dell, Alien ware, and many more that can be found through a quick google or yahoo search.
Sony Laptops can be good, but i hear lots of people have problems with them, and you can get a lot of better deals from other companies, so go look around and find something that fits your needs. Just remember what you want in your PC.
If you use a lot of file space look for good size hard drives. If you are looking for speed look for lots of RAM, good CPU speed (more cores the better) and a 7200RPM hard drive. Also remember battery life can be a problem. So remember to look for one with a second battery if you need to, or at least a 9 cell.
Best way to get what you want in a laptop for a good price is to customize it. I suggest if you know a little about what your looking for, and you want to use HP go find a laptop you like and customize it with what you want.http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shoppi…
