I am planning to get myself a netbook.. and considering the Acer Aspire one and Asus eeepc.. I have a few questions:
what is the pro and con for the flash memory Vs standard HD? I noticed some only offer 4G or 8G while some offer 120G.. which will be a wise choice if I am going to use this laptop for travel or when I go out like weekend.. ( I will not use it for work at all , mainly to go online, look at website, write my blog, upload photo)
In terms of weight, they seems very similar to me and Acer offers cheaper price compare to Asus one with $99 AUD cash back now… ( I am in sydney)
and in terms of durability.. which one is better?

Acer Aspire 4710 Or Compaq Presario V3412tu?
May 30th, 2009Well since my Toshiba died on me, I decided it’s time I get a new laptop. So here I am, entering into the wild world of computers and have no idea what to buy. I have narrowed it down to these two as they are more along my budget. Plz recommend! Specs are as follows:
Acer Aspire 4710G
-Intel Core 2 Duo T5500
-1024 MB DDR2 RAM
-14.1″ Wide Screen CrystalBrite
-ATI Radeon HD 2300 with 128 dedicated memory
- DVD mutli double layer writer
-Wifi, bluetooth
-Crystal Eye Camera
Compaq Presario V3412TU
-Intel Core Duo 2.0GHz T2450
-14″ WXGA TFT Screen
-512MB DDR II Ram
-120GB Hard Disk Drive
-DVD+/RW Drive DUL Layer
-Intel Extreme 950 Graphic (128MB)
-Wifi, Bluetooth
They are both roughly the same price, RM 2800 (I am in Malaysia). Plz recommend. I believe Acer doesnt have a good rep but i still want to give it a try considerin that a lot of ppl say the new line is awesome!

Acer Aspire One??????????
May 26th, 2009im thinking of buying it… but i dont know, i want a laptop sorta thing. I dont really know much about this stuff. I think i only like it because it is small. I really want to pay about 500 dollars, but is the acer aspire one good? does anyone know the pros or cons about it. Also i was googleing it and it came up as a netbook, whats the difference from a netbook, laptop, and notebook?
