I currently have a toshiba laptop that weighs 4.2 pounds but it’s a little heavier than I’d like it to be. I’m a college student and I’d like a second notebook I can carry around without the adapter (my current laptop battery dies within an hour). The EeePC 1000H weights 3.2 pounds and the 900 weights only 2.19 pounds but 1000H sounds better and has a bit bigger screen which I like…help me choose which one to get!

Xp Or Ubuntu – Asus Eee Pc 4g 701 Model?
June 24th, 2009Hey, im just considering which OS i should apply to my Eee PC. Either the default OS, XP, or ubuntu 8.10 (which, unforntunately, i know next to nothing about).
I’ve had xp on my eeepc for a while now (until the os ****** up from registry hacks) and i never really suffered any major performance problems. It was quite fast actually. Im just wondering, would a linux distribution be like, super-fast?
Can anyone with experience with loading linux on eee pc tell me about the consequences of doing so when all you’ve used all your life is XP?

Laptop, What To Get Asus Acer???

Installing Windows Xp On An Asus 8g?
June 15th, 2009is it 100% safe to install windows xp on a eeePC?
heard that the drive isn’t really meant for a lot of read/writes and would shorten the lifespan of the computer…
is there anything I can do within XP to prevent this?
