What Is The Best Laptop For Me?

October 11th, 2009

Things I want:
- Webcam
- Black or White in color (preferably white)
- 2+ GB of memory
- Durable battery power for when it’s unplugged
- < $999
- 15″ or 16″ screen
- Glossy mousepad (I have really sensitive fingers and a lot of mousepads bother me haha) :P
A fingerprint scanner would be cool, but it’s not really necessary. I know that most of the newer HPs have them.
I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 now (it has an amazing mousepad, by the way), but it’s getting old and not working as well as it used to. I hear that if you’ve never had a Mac, you shouldn’t get one. I’ve never had a Mac, but my school uses them and I absolutely love them. They’re really expensive though, and I’m a bit worried to buy one off of eBay for a cheap price. Also, I have a Sony Cybershot t70, and I’m wondering if it will be compatible with a Mac.
Any recommendations?
=)
