It’s an HP Pavilion dv2000. Also, the jack where the charger is plugged in is quite loose; it doesn’t come out easily, but I can wiggle it around if I try while it’s plugged.
It’s about a year old, give or take, and it’s used– older sibling hand-me-down.
Could the loose jack have something to do with it? My sibling profusely denies that it needs a new battery, though I’ve heard it needs to be changed after a year?

My Laptop Adapter Wont Charge My Computer Anymore Even Thought Its The One That Came With It What Can I Do?
September 9th, 2009My laptop is an HP pavilion entertainment PC dv7 running with windows vista home premium 64 . The adapter stopped working when the notebook popped a message saying that it needed a more powerful adapter. I talked with support on HP and they didn’t help at all because I don’t live in the USA and there is no support for my laptop in the Caribbean page. I think It might be a problem with the battery. Can any IT master help me out?

My Laptop Won’t Charge?
September 7th, 2009My laptop can’t charge. I have the Hp Pavilion Entertainment PC special edition. When I plug it in, theres a blue ring around the jack so I know it works and its accepting the power, so theres nothing wrong with the jack nor the plug. I also tried taking in and out the battery; it works. I also tried multiple outlets. Its connected but won’t charge. Please help!

My Laptop Isn’t Holding A Charge? What’s Wrong..?
September 3rd, 2009i got my hp pavilion entertainment laptop a few months ago .. it’s always plugged in, but when i do unplug it, the battery takes less then a half hour at most to die out. is this with all hp laptops or is there something wrong with mine? should i not continuously keep it plugged in? help please!

My Laptop Doesn’t Seem To Charge……..?
September 1st, 2009My laptop suddenly shut down when plugged in and charging, and since I have been unable to charge it. When I turn the laptop on the light that lets me know that it is charging just flashes on and off till I turn the laptop off (I only have enough battery left to check if it is working). I have had a few problems before with the adapter and it doesn’y seem to be a problem with that.
My laptop model is a hp pavilion ze4800, which I have had for around 2-3 years. I will be replacing it after Christmas but I need it for an essay (which needs to be handed in soon) so any help would be great. Thanks.
P.s. I’m using the university computers to write this question.
