I have an HP Pavilion dv6647cl Entertainment Notebook PC and I’ve only had it for 2 months now. When I went to use it last week, the battery meter, it says 1% available (plugged in, not charging). I have tried shutting the computer down, unplugging the AC adapter, removing the battery and plugging everything back in and then turning the computer back on, and it still hasnt worked. I also read a lot of the answers to similar questions, and tried what they said, and it hasnt worked. Do I need to get a new battery? I have Windows Vista (came with the computer already installed).. Does that have anything to do with it? Has any one else had this problem? Please help.. Thank you.

Why Isn’t My Laptop Charging?
September 21st, 2009I have an Hp Pavilion Dv6000, and my charger isn’t charging my laptop! I’m the only one in this house with a charger this size. You know how there is an indicator light when you plug it in? Well, That’s on BUT, i go to take it out like an hour later and the battery left hasn’t gone up or down at all! What do I do now? For some reason my charger wire as to be in a certain position for it to charge. about half an hour ago(10:33 A.M. (Us Eastern time) Monday, June 29, 2009) It was at 4%(critical)
Now it actually started charging, it’s at 14%, it takes so long to charge! Even if the computer is sleeping/off! What do I do about that!?

Why Is My Laptop Not Charging Correctly?
September 19th, 2009First off, I have an HP Pavilion zv5000. My dad did some testing on it because it hasn’t been charging for me, and we found that it only charges when the laptop is turned off, and the charger is plugged only halfway in. When on, it doesn’t charge at all. How do I manage to fix this problem? Him and I are certain it’s not the battery or the charger cord, but the port where the charger plugs in. How can this be fixed? Can I do it myself or do I have to send it in? I’m completely lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why Does My Laptop Say ‘plugged In, Not Charging’?
September 13th, 2009Ok I have a HP Pavilion Laptop and I am wondering why it will get stuck on a certain percentage of battery life (always a random %) and I get the msg wen I hover over the lil battery picture saying “plugged in, not charging” Its really annoying, I have tried taking the battery out to let it cool down and stuff, it doesnt seem to make a difference. It says it isnt charging, but it never seems to lose any life when it is plugged in, it just always stays at the same percentage. Thankyou to all who answer!

My Laptop Is Not Charging – Is It The Cord?
September 12th, 2009My laptop is not charging – is it the cord? I’ve had my computer (and charger) for two and a half years now. Today, I turned on my computer, and it was running on battery – even tho I had everything plugged in with my charger. The cord of the charger is always really twisted, so I untwisted it. For a while, my screen was going to bright to dim, b/c when it’s running on battery the screen is dimmer. Now it’s just dim, no matter how much I jostle it or move it around. My laptop is a HP Pavilion zv6000, if that helps. Do I need a new charger? About how much do they cost?
