hey. there’s this cheap laptop i’m looking into buying because it’s so tiny! this is the site:http://event.asus.com/eeepc/microsites/e…
it says it comes with linux, but would it be like a simple version of the ones i’ve seen on youtube? it looks good but i think it might be a bit simpler since the laptop isn’t all that fast and it doesn’t have a huge memory….. what do you think of the laptop? do you like it?
thankyou! =]

Linux Netbooks: Possible To Install Xp, And Install More Ram?
June 22nd, 2009Aight so I’m thinking of buying a netbook like the Aspire One or the Asus EeePC, but all the sub £200 ones only ship with Linux, which is a pain, because any netbook running on a via, intel or celeron chip should be able to run Windows XP.
I have a (fully legit!) CD with Windows XP SP2 on it, so is it possible to de-install Linux and install Windows instead? Because these babies don’t come with CD drives, so I’m going to have to find an external one, and then the question is do I have to download the linux driver for this external drive?
FINALLY, if I manage to install XP, I heard that Microsoft does not sell licenses for netbooks with more than 1GB of RAM. Is this just a licensing thing, or have they crippled XP in such a way that I can’t install an extra 1GB on my netbook at all?

What Is A Good Book To Learn About Linux. Especially Regarding Interoperability With A Windows Domain.?
June 20th, 2009I am looking into how to integrate linux client PC’s (ASUS eeePC’s) on to a windows 2003 server domain for a school. I have installed openSUSE linux on my PC to start to get my head around linux and have a copy of the Linux 2008 Bible by Christopher Negus. Can anyone recommend a good book that will explain in detail how to operate Linux clients effectively within a windows network? Preferably I would like to be able to log on to the domain as an active directory user, run scripts to mount personal home folders and share printers etc.
Thanks

Create An Ap Using Laptop With Linux.?
June 17th, 2009Hello,
I have an Asus EeePc it comes with Xandros,
I heard its possible with windows and macs to create a wireless connection with a laptop (while its connected with an ethernet cable to the internet).
Since I don’t have Windows installed here, I was wondering if there was a way to do this with Linux.
Thanks in advance
