I have a 2 year old HP pavilion laptop. I had to replace the hard drive within a month of owning it and then my CMOS battery died about 6 months ago. I replaced it with a new battery and it started working fine. Then last week it started showing signs of a failed CMOS again (computer crashes, error message on boot-up, incorrect time and date, etc.). Within a few days I had to remove and replace the bad CMOS battery whenever I wanted to turn it on. I ordered a replacement part and before it could arrive my computer crashed for the last time and won’t power up no matter what I did. When I got the new part, I installed it just like I had done tons of times before but, my computer still won’t power up.
I talked to an computer guru when my CMOS battery died the first time, and he thought that I might have a different hardware problem that was causing the CMOS to wear out really fast.
What do you think is causing this?

I Dropped My Laptop And Now It Won’t Power On!!!?
September 30th, 2009I have a HP Pavilion ze2108wm and it fell onto the floor. Now, it will not power on. It won’t start from battery or AC power. When I press the power button, nothing at all happens….any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?

Laptop Shuts Down Without Power Cord?
August 22nd, 2009I have an HP Pavilion notebook, ze2000, an older model. I purchased a newer model, because ze2000 kept shutting down everytime I took the power cord out. Without the power cord, it won’t even cut on. Also, sometimes with the power cord in, it will start coming on, then just shut down completeIy (never with a warning). I just ordered a new battery, so could this potentially fix the problem? If not, what else should I consider?

Please Help I Have A Ac Power Problem On My Laptop.?
August 13th, 2009I have a HP Pavilion dv8000 and I am having a problem with my power. I have my ac power plug in the laptop and about every 5-10 secs it swiches to battery but my ac power is still plug up to my laptop. I know this because where the laptop speaker is on the left of it ,it have 3 blue lights that indicate the power and if my computer is charging. The first two light blink when it swiches to battery. Please tell me the problem or if you experience this problem.
