It’s an asus EeePC 701 .. it has all the standard stuff but it won’t let me use any of the ports to boot from .. so i’m presuming they’ve been disabled.
It comes up with a screen sayig cannot connect to network .. out of range or something ..
If it has no diskdrive (too small for one)
No ports that work
and no operating system to be able to get on too…
is there any way to get it back to it’s original setting .. with linux (or whatever it had)
bearing in mine i’ve tried the F9 tick
and the reset button on the bottom ..
PLEASE HELP ME

If you want to install XP-apps, then sure.
If the linux OS in your eee has enough programs for you, then no.

On my HP Pavilion dv2000 I always have a little battery icon that shows how much life is left before I have to charge, it’s in the right bottom corner of the screen on the toolbar. Im running Vista.
So it disappeared the other day.
If I right click the toolbar- I go into “Taskbar and Start Menu Properties”. I click the Notification Area tab. Now, the “power” system icon is there, but the box is shaded gray as if I cannot select it. WHY?!
ANY HELP THANKS
